GD Care (the “App”) is operated by General Diagnostics International Pvt. Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “GD”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy applies to all users of the App on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).
2. Information We Collect
Account & Login Data: Information provided during login or onboarding (for example: name, email, phone number).
Device & Usage Data: Device identifiers, operating system version, app usage logs (for performance, analytics, and security).
Local Data (Stored in Room Database):
- User Profile: Stored locally on the device and not transmitted unless you explicitly consent.
- Cart Data: Selected tests and packages are stored locally in the app's Room database (tests and packages tables).
Booking Details: Family member information, saved addresses, selected tests/packages to complete bookings.
Transaction Data: Payment method selections (e.g., cash on collection, Razorpay, CCAvenue, UPI, credit/debit card). Sensitive payment details are handled by the payment providers and are not stored by the App or our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Facilitate login, onboarding, test exploration, cart management, booking and report access.
- Store data locally in the Room database to enable offline usage and faster navigation.
- Allow you to add and reuse family member details and saved addresses while booking.
- Interface with payment providers to process payments — payment processing is subject to each provider’s privacy and security terms.
5. Data Storage & Security
On-device storage and secure transmissions

6. Data Retention
On-Device Data: Data stored in the Room database (such as user profile, cart, tests, and packages) remains on your device while the App is installed. This data will be deleted if you clear the App data or uninstall the App.
Server-generated Reports: Medical reports generated by GD and made available through the App are retained according to GD’s internal policies and applicable medical record retention laws, typically for as long as required by law (for example, in India, up to 3 years or longer if mandated by applicable healthcare regulations) to ensure compliance, support your access to past reports, and for legal or regulatory purposes.
Other Personal Data: Any personal information transmitted to GD servers (e.g., during booking or payments) is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Once no longer needed, such data will be securely deleted or anonymized.
Request for Deletion: You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Contact Information). Upon verification of your identity, we will delete or anonymize your data unless we are legally required to retain it for a longer period.
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Delete locally stored data by clearing the App data or uninstalling the App.
- Request access or deletion of any server-held data by contacting us (see Contact section).
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have unknowingly collected data from a child, contact us and we will take action to remove such data.
9. International Data Transfers
If data is transmitted to or processed by servers outside India, we will take appropriate safeguards to protect such data as required by applicable laws and standards.
10. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date shown at the top. Where required by law, we may also notify you within the App or by email.
